Dhaka: President Mohammed Shahabuddin has expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Begum Jebunnessa, mother of Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Minister Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain. In a condolence message today, the head of the state conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the President said the nation would remember with gratitude the contributions of Begum Jebunnessa as a dedicated educationist and an ideal teacher as well. Begum Jebunnesa breathed her last at 5.38 am on May 6 at a city hospital at the age of 83.
