Dhaka: Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain has emphasized that adhering to the ideals and teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) can illuminate human life and lead to success in both this world and the hereafter. “True welfare lies in living life according to the ideals of the Prophet (PBUH). If we can follow his teachings, we will attain success in this world and in the hereafter,” he expressed during a discussion commemorating Siratun Nabi (PBUH) at Gulshan this afternoon.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was organized by the Education, Culture, Research, and Public Relations Sub-Committee of the Gulshan Central Mosque and Eidgah Society. Dr Khalid urged attendees to embody the Prophet’s life and moral example in all facets of life. He noted the destructive nature of sin and called on individuals to repent and return to a righteous path.

Dr Khalid further highlighted the significance of lawful earnings, stating, “The foremost condition for acceptance of worship is earning through halal means. Wealth obtained through unlawful means corrupts the soul, and such a person will not enter Paradise. Their prayers, fasting, hajj, or zakat will not be accepted.” He reminded the audience of their accountability to Almighty Allah for their deeds, emphasizing that while one might evade the Anti-Corruption Commission, they cannot escape Allah’s justice. He underscored that rewards await those who do good, whereas sinners will face severe punishment, urging all to refrain from wrongdoing.

The discussion was chaired by Major (Retd.) A Matin Chowdhury, President of the Gulshan Central Mosque and Eidgah Society, and also featured remarks by the society’s Vice-President Lutful Kabir Sadi. Following the session, Dr Khalid distributed prizes to winners of calligraphy, Islamic knowledge, and essay writing competitions.
