Dhaka: Chief of the Detective Branch (DB) of police Rezaul Karim Mallick stated that they have been working tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of the lives and properties of the city dwellers.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rezaul Karim Mallick emphasized the efforts being made by the police to fulfill the government's directives. Speaking to journalists at the Police Plaza, Gulshan-1, he highlighted the continuous work being undertaken by the police to safeguard the inhabitants of the city.

During his visit, he engaged with leaders of shop owners associations, shop owners, and buyers to discuss their safety and security concerns.
He noted that the stakeholders expressed satisfaction with the security arrangements in place. Mallick urged everyone to cooperate in maintaining the necessary security measures to ensure a peaceful shopping experience ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The DB chief encouraged shop owners to contact the national emergency number, 999, or reach out to the deputy commissioner and officers-in-charge of police stations and the DB if they encounter any threats from extortionists or terrorists.
"We have to help each other to make the city secured and enjoy the coming Eid with joy," he remarked.
