Police have arrested two drug dealers with 42 kilograms (kgs) of marijuana from Khilkheet area in the capital. The arrestees were identified as Faysal Mia alias Faysal (41) and Md Yunus Mia (52), according to a press release issued by the media and public relations division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) here today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the release stated that police sent the two individuals before the court as part of the legal procedure. A detective branch (DB) of police under Motijheel division conducted a raid at a location adjacent to the 300 feet road under Khilkheet Police Station at about 5:20 pm yesterday, which led to their arrest along with 42 kg of marijuana.
The release highlighted that the police operation was based on confidential information. During the raid, law enforcement seized a private car and three mobile phone sets from the possession of the arrestees.

ted that Faysal and Yunus are professional members of a drug peddling network. They have been involved in collecting drugs from various border areas of the country for a long time and distributing them to different parts of the capital. A case has been filed against them with Khilkheet Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
