Khulna: Lawmaker Fahmida Haque, representing the reserved seat for Khulna-2 and Khulna-6, announced today that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is committed to ensuring equitable development throughout the nation and upholding the legitimate rights of its citizens.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fahmida Haque emphasized her dedication to voicing the concerns of the neglected Khulna region in the Jatiya Sangsad. She pledged her full support to the development initiatives undertaken or planned by the Khulna Development Authority (KDA) for the betterment of the area. "I will do everything necessary at the ministry level to secure development projects for Khulna and present the demands of the people of Khulna to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman," Haque stated during a reception organized by the KDA at a city hotel.
KDA Chairman Advocate S.M. Shafiqul Alam Mona welcomed the MP and provided her with a briefing on the ongoing and planned projects by the authority. He reaffirmed KDA's commitment to collaborating for the comprehensive development of Khulna.
The reception was attended by KDA Member (Estate) Md. Iqbal Hossain, Member (Development) Ruhul Amin Qutubuddin Ahmad, Acting Chief Engineer Kazi Sabirul Alam, and Acting Deputy Director (Administration) Md. Ejadur Rahman.
