Dhaka: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Friday visited BNP senior leader and his political adviser, Mirza Abbas, who is currently receiving medical treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital. The visit took place after Juma prayers, where the Prime Minister checked on Abbas’s health condition, following his admission to the hospital on Wednesday night.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Prime Minister Rahman spent time at Abbas’s bedside and engaged in discussions with his family members. Jahidul Islam Roni, the Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary, noted that the Prime Minister has instructed the relevant authorities to expedite arrangements for Abbas’s treatment in Singapore.
During the hospital visit, Abbas’s wife, Afroza Abbas, who is also the President of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal, was present alongside the attending doctors. Mirza Abbas, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara after experiencing a sudden illness and loss of consciousness.
