Dhaka: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate a three-month nationwide 'Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Campaign' on Saturday as the prevalence of the disease has increased in the capital and other parts of the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the campaign is set to commence on September 12, aiming to address the rising cases of dengue in Dhaka and various regions. An official handout released today confirmed that the Prime Minister will officially start the campaign at 9:00 am on Saturday, September 12, at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
In the interest of public awareness, Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar, and all private television channels have been requested to broadcast the inaugural ceremony live, as stated in the handout.
