Dhaka: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is set to launch a three-month nationwide 'Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Campaign' on Saturday. This initiative comes in response to the rising prevalence of dengue in the capital and other regions across the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the campaign will officially commence on September 12, with the Prime Minister inaugurating the event at 9:00 am at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. The campaign aims to mitigate the impact of dengue, which has become increasingly widespread in Dhaka and various other areas.
In the interest of public health, Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar, and all private television channels have been urged to broadcast the inaugural ceremony live. The campaign is expected to engage communities across the nation in efforts to control and prevent the spread of dengue.
