PM Tarique Rahman to Inaugurate National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam’s Birth Anniversary Programme in Mymensingh

Mymensingh: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will visit Mymensingh on Saturday to inaugurate the national-level programme marking the 127th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in Trishal upazila. During his visit, the Prime Minister will also launch the re-excavation of the ‘Dharar Khal’ in Bailor union of Trishal.



According to United News of Bangladesh, a three-day programme has been arranged to celebrate the birth anniversary of the National Poet, which will include a Nazrul book fair and a rural fair. The Prime Minister will formally inaugurate the national birth anniversary programme of Kazi Nazrul Islam, as confirmed by his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.



As per the Prime Minister’s schedule, he is set to depart from Dhaka for Trishal by road at 9:00am on Saturday. Around noon, he will commence the re-excavation work of the ‘Dharar Khal’ in Bailor union. Following a break for lunch and Zohr prayers at Trishal Dak Bungalow, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the national programme marking the poet’s 127th birth anniversary at the Nazrul Mancha in Trishal at 3:00pm.



Later in the day, at 5:00pm, the Prime Minister is expected to attend an organisational meeting of Mymensingh North, South and city BNP units at the Trishal Nazrul Auditorium. Tarique Rahman is scheduled to return to Dhaka around 6:30pm.
