PM Takes Responsibility for Treatment of Child Surviving Bogura Road Crash

Bogura: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has taken responsibility for the treatment of a baby girl who miraculously survived a road accident in Sherpur of Bogura that left four members of her family dead. The one-and-a-half-year-old girl, who was seriously injured in the accident, is being taken to the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Agargaon in the capital for advanced treatment.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the Prime Minister expressed deep shock and sorrow over the incident and extended his condolences to the bereaved family, as stated by his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon. He mentioned that the Prime Minister has taken full responsibility for ensuring the child’s proper treatment.



Rumon further shared that PM Tarique earlier communicated with the Bogura Deputy Commissioner and the director of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital to ensure the child received the best possible treatment. He then contacted the authorities of the NINS Hospital, directing them to provide the highest level of care for the child. On the journey from Dhaka to Rangpur, four members of the girl’s family lost their lives in the road accident in Bogura.



The baby girl was seriously injured, and both her parents are in critical condition. Meanwhile, the child has been brought to Dhaka’s Neurosciences Hospital along with her mother. Rumon confirmed that the Prime Minister has taken responsibility for ensuring the child receives advanced treatment and has overseen all aspects of her medical care.



A microbus carrying 12 passengers from Dhaka to Rangpur met with an accident in Sherpur of Bogura on Wednesday morning, resulting in one death on the spot and several injuries. The injured were taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared three of the child’s relatives dead. The Bogura Deputy Commissioner noted that the bodies were taken to Kaunia in Rangpur district for burial. The victims were traveling from Dhaka to their village home in Kaunia to celebrate Eid with their family members when the accident occurred in Sherpur.
