PM Releases Commemorative Postage Stamp on Int’l Mother Language Day

Dhaka: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today released a commemorative postage stamp, an opening envelope, and a canceller on the occasion of the great Martyrs' Day and the International Mother Language Day. He released the commemorative postage stamp at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in the city's Tejgaon area.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this event marks the Prime Minister's first appearance at the PMO since assuming his role as the country's 11th Prime Minister on February 17. Prior to today's activities, he had been performing his official duties at the Cabinet Division in the Bangladesh Secretariat.

Before commencing his official work at the PMO, the Prime Minister participated in a symbolic gesture by planting a 'Swarna Chapa' flower sapling on the office premises.
