Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed shock and deep grief at the death of Language Movement veteran, organiser of the Liberation War, and Ekushey Padak winning journalist Ranesh Maitra.
The journalist and columnist passed away in a city hospital Monday. He was 90.
Sheikh Hasina said: “The lifelong fighter and dignified journalist will be remembered through his works.”
The prime minister also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extended her heartfelt sympathy to Ranesh and his family.
