Dhaka: Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Begum Jebunnesa, mother of Social Welfare, Women and Children Affairs Minister Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the premier conveyed his condolences by highlighting Jebunnesa’s significant contributions to the teaching profession. He noted that she educated countless students, who are now established in society and contributing to the nation.
Tarique Rahman also emphasized Jebunnesa’s role as an ideal mother who raised her children with proper education. He mentioned that she was highly respected by all as a noble woman. Rahman offered prayers for the forgiveness of her soul and extended deep sympathy to her bereaved family members, relatives, admirers, and well-wishers.
Begum Jebunnesa passed away at 5:38 am today at a city hospital while undergoing treatment. She had been suffering from various old age complications. She was 83.
