Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of organising secretary of Mymensingh Awami League and agriculturist Dr Samiul Alam Liton.
Hasina, also the Awami League president, prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Dr Samiul Alam Liton breathed his last this evening at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital at the age of 53. He left behind his wife, daughter, son and a host of relatives and well-wishers.
Meanwhile, AL general secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Dr Samiul Alam.
