Feni:Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today inaugurated rooftop solar power systems at government institutions across Fulgazi, Chhagalnaiya, and Parshuram upazilas, facilitating the generation of electricity to be contributed to the national grid.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the inauguration took place during a program at Fulgazi Dak Bungalow at approximately 6:30 pm. The installation features a total capacity of 960.8 kilowatts, distributed as 415.6 kilowatts in Chhagalnaiya, 295.8 kilowatts in Parshuram, and 249.4 kilowatts in Fulgazi.
The project, executed by Feni Palli Bidyut Samity and the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board, utilized the rooftops of various government buildings. This initiative is part of a broader government strategy to enhance the adoption of renewable energy and lessen reliance on traditional electricity sources.
