PM Issues Directives to BNP MPs to Vitalize Parliament

Dhaka: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today issued a set of directives to BNP lawmakers to infuse dynamism in parliamentary activities at a meeting at Jatiya Sangsad. ‘The prime minister delivered a directional speech addressing treasury bench members present at the ruling party’s meeting room at Jatiya Sangshad Bhaban this afternoon,’ premier’s deputy press secretary Jahidul Islam Rony said.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting commenced with BNP lawmakers expressing deep condolences over the passing of Professor Dilara Hafiz, the spouse of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram. A special prayer was offered in her memory, seeking eternal peace for her soul.



Rony further stated that the meeting covered a range of topics including ongoing government activities, the current political scenario, legislative activities, and future action plans. These discussions are part of the government’s effort to ensure effective parliamentary operations and to strategize for upcoming legislative sessions.
