PM Extends Heartfelt Greetings to Muslims on Lailatul Qadr

Dhaka: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has greeted the country’s people and the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the holy Lailatul Qadr (the Night of Decree). “On the occasion of the holy Lailatul Qadr, I extend my heartfelt greetings and mubarakbad to all Muslims around the world, including the countrymen,” he said in a message issued today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the prime minister highlighted the significance of Lailatul Qadr, describing it as a glorious and blessed night, during which the Holy Quran was revealed. He emphasized that Almighty Allah has declared this night to be better than a thousand months, bringing messages of welfare, forgiveness, and mercy for mankind.

Tarique Rahman stated that this night offers a unique opportunity to gain proximity to Almighty Allah through prayers, repentance, and supplication. He described Ramadan as a month of restraint, self-purification, tolerance, and the awakening of human values.

The premier underscored that the lessons of Lailatul Qadr inspire individuals to strive for peace, justice, and welfare in their personal, social, and national lives. He urged everyone to engage in prayers to attain the pleasure of Almighty Allah and to dedicate themselves to the welfare of humanity by understanding the significance of the night.

Tarique Rahman concluded by praying for the infinite mercy and blessings of the holy Lailatul Qadr to be bestowed upon all. He expressed hope that Allah would guide the country and its people towards progress, peace, harmony, and welfare. “May the glory of the holy Lailatul Qadr bring peace, harmony, and welfare to our lives,” he added.
