Dhaka: The play 'Mukhomukhi', inspired by the spirit of the Monsoon Revolution, will make its premiere tomorrow at the Experimental Theatre Hall of the National Theatre. The event, organized by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and supported by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, is scheduled to start at 7pm on Friday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, 'Mukhomukhi' is part of a new theatre production initiative conceptualized, planned, and directed by Dhiman Chandra Barman. The play will be brought to life by the theatre group 'Theatre Web'.
The cast features a talented lineup, including Al Mamun, Polly Chowdhury, Fauzia Afrin Tilu, Mujahidul Islam Rifat, Srikanta Mondal, Sanjit Kumar Dey, Saima Selim Anika, Sworup Ratan Lalon, and Hasib Ul Islam.
Behind the scenes, the production is supported by contributors such as Robi Prarombha, Mehedi Hasan Sohan, Md. Ashraful Islam, Tanvir Ahmed, Robiul Ahmed, Palok Das, Ratan Dhar, Arpa Bonik, Priyanka Talukder, Gautam Dey, and Sharmistha Roy.
The creative team includes Amit Chowdhury and Hasan Ishtiaq Imran for movement direction, with Mohsina Akter designing the costumes. The set design and visual concept are managed by Dhiman Chandra Barman, assisted by Mujahidul Islam. Ragib Naim, with help from Sanjit Kumar Dey, is responsible for props design.
Lighting is designed by Dhiman Chandra Barman and executed by Jadid Imtiaz, while sound and music are designed by Ragib Naim and executed by Mamdudur Rahman. Publication management is overseen by Rezwan Hasan Shawon, with Ragib Naim also serving as assistant director.
