The Karnali Province Planning Commission has taken action against the civil employees for piling pressure on the Finance Minister while formulating budget for the upcoming fiscal year for the Province.
In a press meet here today, Commission’s Vice-Chairperson Yogendra Shahi shed light on the action. The name of those employees has been, however, been withheld. “Attempts were made to influence the Finance Minister during budget formulation. The statements and expressions made by those employees are not official and not statements of the Commission. Instead they are the products of their personal thoughts and opinions,” he said.
Shahi also shared that there was no involvement of any officials and employees in the major role and responsibility in meddling with or influencing the Finance Minister for the same.
“The provincial government will adopt a zero-tolerance policy against those associated with the Commission and committing wrongdoing or misconduct,” he asserted.
