Dhaka: State Minister for Public Administration Md. Abdul Bari today said people of Bangladesh have repeatedly placed their trust in the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) whenever the country has faced a crisis. “People of Bangladesh have trusted and voted for BNP time and again whenever the country faced crises,” he said. The state minister made the remarks while addressing a rally as the chief guest, organised to mark the 48th founding anniversary of BNP.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Abdul Bari emphasized the historical trust the people have placed in the BNP, highlighting past leadership by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. He noted that the party has been called upon again to lead the country through its current challenges. He also praised the efforts of the incumbent Prime Minister, stating that she is working tirelessly to guide the nation towards development and overcome existing obstacles.
The anniversary celebrations began with the hoisting of national and party flags at the District BNP office in the morning. The event saw participation from leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organisations, underscoring the party’s continued influence and support base.
