Dhaka:The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has successfully recovered a motorcycle integral to the investigation into the death of former Bangladesh Air Force Flight Lieutenant KM Tahsif Shouri. The motorcycle was seized during a drive on Thursday night and presented on Friday for media examination.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the recovery was facilitated by information provided by Dip, a friend of the deceased Tahsif Souri. PBI Inspector Syed Sajidur Rahman of Dhaka Metropolitan North confirmed this detail.

During a briefing at the Honda Road area of Haji Mazar slum, Additional Deputy Inspector General of PBI Dhaka Metropolitan North Md Enayet Hossain Mannan noted that documents related to the motorcycle would be scrutinized to confirm its ownership by Tahsif Souri.

Mannan addressed claims that individuals had jumped into a river while evading police, citing Dip's account of being pursued by two individuals dressed in police uniforms. Mannan emphasized the need to verify the identities of these individuals to ascertain if they were indeed police officers or others on duty.

He further mentioned that while Dip had provided various pieces of information, investigators were approaching them with caution and verifying each claim. The Naval Police are currently leading the investigation, with the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch (DB) and SRB conducting parallel inquiries. Mannan stated that the PBI is set to assume control of the investigation at a later stage.
