Dhaka: A panel discussion and photo exhibition were held in Dhaka on Saturday to mark the International Day of Enforced Disappearance, organized by the human rights organization 'Mayer Dak'. The event took place at 5pm at the Main Auditorium of the Bangladesh National Museum, under the theme 'Bring Back the Disappeared: Law, Justice, Accountability and Human Rights.'
According to United News of Bangladesh, the event saw participation from human rights activists, legal experts, civil society representatives, and family members of victims of enforced disappearance. The speakers at the discussion emphasized the need for thorough investigations into every case of enforced disappearance and called for accountability for those responsible.
In addition to the discussion, a photo exhibition was held as part of the program, showcasing the works of photographers Mushfiqur Rahman Johan and Jibon Ahmed. The exhibition aimed to highlight the plight of the victims and the ongoing struggle for justice.
