Kathmandu: The 2nd Pan-Himalayan Communication and Social Development Conference will be kicking off in Dhulikhel tomorrow, Wednesday.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung and China’s Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, are scheduled to inaugurate the event, according to organiser Pan-Himalayan Communication Research Center.
Thematic experts from Nepal, China, and mountainous nations will present papers during the Conference (October 2-4) to be held under the theme of “Digital Communication and Public Governance”, the Center said.
Prof. Han Hong, Vice Dean of the School of Public Administration, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Director of the Pan-Himalayan Communication Research Center, said the Conference will see paper presentations by over 50 researchers.
They include Professor Arvind Singhal from the University of Texas, Prof LI Xiguangfrom the Tsinghua University, Nirman Mani Adhikari from the Kathmandu University, Prof Manukonda Rabin
dranath from the Jawaharlal Nehru University and Prof Sarita Anand from the Delhi University are presenting the conclusions of their research workers on the topics of communication and social development.
