Dhaka:The Palli Sanchay Bank has deposited Taka 60 crore in dividends into the government treasury for the fiscal years up to 2023-24. The bank formally handed over a cheque for the amount to Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury at his office at the Bangladesh Secretariat today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Palli Sanchay Bank Chairman Dr. AKM Jahangir and Managing Director Salma Banu handed over the cheque to the finance minister. Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division Nazma Mobarek was present on the occasion.
The Palli Sanchay Bank aims to improve living standards in remote areas, promote socioeconomic development, alleviate poverty, and create employment opportunities, as stated in a press release from the Ministry of Finance. Present at the cheque handover ceremony were Bank Director Nure Alam Talukder, Deputy Managing Director Md Golam Mortuza, General Managers ABM Zahid Hossain and Md Ala Uddin, Board Secretary and Senior Principal Officer Muhammad Ali, and Senior Principal Officer Sukanta Kumar Ghosh.
