Lahore:Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf made history with an unbeaten 89-run partnership for the 10th wicket, leading Pakistan to a thrilling one-wicket win over England in Lahore on Sunday. This partnership is now the highest last-wicket stand in a successful ODI chase.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the previous record of 64 had been set during the 1975 World Cup by West Indies' Deryck Murray and Andy Roberts against Pakistan. On 99, a missed run-out opportunity by Tom Banton allowed Shadab to reach his century by hitting a four off Gus Atkinson, followed by another four and a six, leaving Pakistan just three runs shy of victory with 18 balls remaining.

Haris Rauf sealed the win by hitting Henry Crocombe for four off the first ball of the following over. This victory, Pakistan's third consecutive win, secured their place in the final of the series. England, however, has struggled, losing all three of their matches, including a previous high-scoring game where they posted 429.

Saad Baig contributed 32 runs, making it the second-highest score in Pakistan's innings. Earlier, England's Ben Duckett scored 105 runs off 111 balls, but the team was bowled out for 241, with Shaheen Afridi taking four wickets for 46 runs.
