Dhaka: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today announced a 15-member squad for the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. Salman Ali Agha will continue to lead the side in the T20Is, a press release of the PCB stated.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the PCB selection panel named a squad mixed with experienced names and fresh faces. Notable inclusions include Fakhar Zaman, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz, and young talents like Saim Ayub and Mohammad Abbas Afridi. However, the likes of Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah continued to be excluded.
Pakistan is set to arrive in Bangladesh on July 17, with the first T20 on July 20. The second and third T20 are scheduled for July 22 and 24, respectively. All the matches will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. Just a month ago, the two sides met in a three-match T20 series in Lahore, Pakistan, which the hosts swept with ease.
The 15-member squad for the Bangladesh series includes Salman Ali Agha (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan (wk), Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, and Sufyan Moqim.
The team management comprises Naveed Akram Cheema (manager), Mike Hesson (head coach), Ashley Noffke (bowling coach), Muhammad Hanif Malik (batting coach), Shane McDermott (fielding coach), Cliffe Deacon (physiotherapist), Grant Luden (strength and conditioning coach), Talha Ejaz (analyst), Syed Naeem Ahmad (media manager), Irtaza Komail (security manager), Dr. Wajid Ali Rafai (doctor), and Muhammad Ehsan (masseur).
