Jhalakathi:Over 200 children received free medical treatment and medicines at a daylong health camp held at Jhalakathi Udbodhan Secondary School. The event was organized by the social and humanitarian organization 'We Can Change' (WCC) with the slogan 'Healthy Children, Brighter Future'.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a team of specialist paediatricians provided medical check-ups, treatment, health tests, and advice on nutrition and healthy living during the camp. The medical team was led by WCC Chairman Prof Dr SM Khalid Mahmud Shakil, a paediatric specialist at Dhaka Shishu Hospital.
Prof Shakil emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups and proper treatment for children's healthy growth. He noted that many families could not afford specialist healthcare for their children and that the initiative aimed to provide free medical services to those in need.
Organizers expressed their intention to continue such humanitarian activities to ensure quality healthcare for disadvantaged communities.
