Dhaka: An orientation programme for the newly enrolled students of the MBBS batch HF-27 and BDS batch HFD-14 was held at Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College. The event, themed ‘Naba anonde jago, aji nabin probhate’ (Awaken in new joy, on this fresh morning), took place in the college auditorium yesterday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, teachers of the college, along with the Holy Family Alumni Association and students of the immediate previous batches HF-26 and HFD-13, extended a warm welcome to the newcomers. The college authorities marked the formal beginning of the students’ journey in medical education by receiving them with flowers, new aprons, and special gifts.
During the programme, teachers provided an overview of the first phase of the academic curriculum. They also delivered motivational speeches and guidance aimed at inspiring the new students to remain committed along their long academic path. The college’s Principal, Professor Dr. KM Mujibul Haque, and Vice-Principal, Professor Dr. Meherun Nesa, along with other concerned teachers, were present at the event.
The orientation concluded with an oath-taking ceremony, during which the new students formally pledged their commitment to the noble profession of medical service, marking the beginning of their new journey.
