Orchestra promotes Nepali arts, cultures: PM

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has made commitment to provide special support from the side of the government to promote music.

Saying that he did significant jobs for the promotion of music sector during his first premiership, the PM assured to address the demands raised by Jyapu Mahaguthi.

The PM said so while inaugurating the Nepal Orchestra-1143 organized by Jyapu Mahaguthi and Kathmandu Metropolitan City on the occasion of World Music Day on Saturday in the Capital City.

On the occasion, the PM said that the orchestra would contribute for the protection of culture and promotion of tourism and assured to provide support to all agencies involved in the field of cultural promotion including the Jyapu Guthi.

On the occasion, Minister for Tourism, Industry and Cooperative of Bagmati Province Pukar Maharjan said that tourism could be welcomed in the country only after the protection of cultures and arts.

Likewise, Deputy Mayor Kathmandu Metropolitan City Sunita Dangol shared that the metropolitan city was working to develop it as a cultural city and added that emphasis is given for the promotion of abstract arts and cultures.
