Chattogram:State Minister for Land and Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs, Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, has accused the opposition of attempting to destabilize Bangladesh by advocating contradictory positions in parliament and public forums. He asserted that the opposition neither desires a well-established Bangladesh nor a deeply rooted democratic system.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mir Helal claimed that the rhetoric employed by the opposition mirrors that of the forces defeated in 1971 and 2024, suggesting an intention to keep the nation unstable and vulnerable to external interference. He made these remarks while addressing a rally organized by the Chattogram Metropolitan Jubo Dal, the youth wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), celebrating its 48th founding anniversary.

The rally took place at the Jamiatul Falah Mosque premises in Chattogram city, followed by a procession through several city streets, concluding at the GEC intersection. During his speech, Mir Helal emphasized that the current government was elected through the direct votes of Bangladesh's 180 million citizens, not through a "dummy" election. He affirmed the government's readiness to maintain control over the streets if necessary.

Mir Helal praised the role of Jubo Dal in supporting the BNP's initiatives and highlighted its contribution to democratic movements. He specifically commended the Chattogram city Jubo Dal for its discipline and order. The rally was presided over by Chattogram city Jubo Dal President Mosharraf Hossain Dipti, with speeches from city BNP Convener Ershad Ullah, MP, Member Secretary Nazimur Rahman, former General Secretary Abul Hashem Bakkar, and Joint Convener Kazi Belal Uddin, among others.
