Online travel agency Trip Lover has become the title sponsor of “Airline of the Year 2022.”
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Bangladesh Monitor and Trip Lover in Dhaka Wednesday.
Airlines will be judged in 11 categories – best business class, best economy class, best in-flight entertainment, the best in-flight meal in business class, the best in-flight meal in economy class, best regional airline, best long-haul airline, most favourite frequent flyer programme, best budget airline, cargo airline of the year and airline of the year.
For domestic airlines, there will be two categories – best on-time performance and best domestic airline.
A new category – the best airport lounge – has also been introduced this year.
Those who made a minimum of four air trips during 2021 and 2022 will be eligible to cast their votes online by April 30.
A panel of judges representing different professions will pick the winners based on the poll.
Winners will be announced and recognised at a gala ceremony in June.
