Naogaon: A tragic road accident occurred near Nitpur Boro Bridge in Porsha upazila, claiming the life of one individual and injuring two others.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the victim was identified as Nizam Uddin, 35, son of Md. Saifuddin, from Dakshin Khottapara in Sapahar upazila. The incident took place around noon when a battery-run auto-rickshaw and a motorbike collided head-on. The collision resulted in injuries to the bike rider, the auto-rickshaw driver, and its passenger, as stated by Mintu Rahman, officer-in-charge of Porsha Police Station.
Nizam, who was critically injured, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital. The two other injured individuals were admitted to Porsha Upazila Health Complex for treatment, as confirmed by the officer-in-charge.
