Madaripur: A man was killed and four others were injured in a collision between two motorcycles in Sadar upazila here last night. The deceased was Rakib, 22, son of Abul Kalam from Kalikapur village in Sadar Upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred near Habiganj Bridge around 8 pm when two motorcycles collided head-on. The collision left bike rider Rakib dead on the spot and four other riders from both motorcycles injured, as stated by Adil Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madaripur Sadar Police Station.
Locals promptly rescued the injured individuals and initially admitted them to Madaripur Sadar Hospital. Following this, the injured were transferred to Dhaka Pangu Hospital for further treatment.
