Jamalpur: A man was killed in a road accident at Melandah upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was identified as Ziaul Haque, 50, son of Azhar Ali, a resident of Valuka village of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place in the Nalerchar-Taltola area when an auto rickshaw turned turtle on the road as its driver lost control over the vehicle. The incident left its passenger, Ziaul, dead on the spot, as confirmed by Shafiqul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Melandah Police Station.
