Dhaka: An unidentified person, approximately 45 years of age, lost his life while another individual sustained injuries when a private car collided with the divider of the Mohakhali Amtali flyover in Banani early this morning. The accident unfolded at around 2:30 am, as per police and hospital sources, when the speeding vehicle struck the flyover divider, leaving the car severely damaged.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, two passengers in the vehicle were injured during the incident. One of the injured individuals was pronounced dead upon arrival at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, while the other is currently receiving medical care at Kurmitola General Hospital.
Inspector Mohammad Faruk, who is responsible for the DMCH Police Camp, confirmed that the individual brought in from the Mohakhali accident was declared dead by medical professionals on duty.
