Gopalganj: A man was killed in a road accident at Kangshur on the Gopalganj-Tekerhat road in Sadar upazila on Saturday morning. The deceased was identified as Biplob Biswas, 30, son of Badar Ali of Shuktail village in Sadar upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 10 am when a locally made vehicle, known as a Nachiman, veered off the road and fell into a ditch after the driver lost control of the steering. Biplob, who was driving the vehicle, died instantly at the scene, as confirmed by Sub-Inspector (SI) of Baultoli Police Outpost under Gopalganj Sadar Police Station.
The body has been transported to Gopalganj General Hospital’s morgue for post-mortem examination, the officer added.
