One Held with One Lakh Yaba Tablets at Teknaf Check Post

Teknaf: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel arrested a man with one lakh pieces of yaba tablets at the Hoikang check post in Teknaf in the early hours of today. The arrested individual has been identified as Md. Ikram, 29, a resident of Hnila union in Teknaf.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrest occurred when members of the BGB intercepted Ikram as he was traveling to Teknaf on a motorcycle at around 12:30 am. BGB-64 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Mohammad Jasim Uddin stated that a thorough search of Ikram’s bag led to the discovery of the yaba tablets.



Following the discovery, Ikram was handed over to the Teknaf Model Police Station along with the seized yaba tablets and the motorcycle he was using. A case has been filed in connection to the incident, marking a significant seizure of illegal narcotics in the region.
