One Dies of Dengue as 434 New Cases Reported in Last 24 Hours

Dhaka: One person has died of dengue fever, and 434 new dengue cases have been recorded across the country in the last 24 hours, as reported today by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the breakdown of the new cases indicates 62 cases in Barisal Division, 67 in Chittagong Division, and 78 in Dhaka Division, all outside their respective city corporations. In the capital, Dhaka North City Corporation reported 39 cases, while Dhaka South City Corporation reported 93 cases.



Other divisions also reported new cases, with Khulna Division recording 32 cases, Mymensingh Division 8 cases, Rajshahi Division 53 cases, and Sylhet Division 2 cases, all outside city corporation areas. During the same period, 555 patients were discharged from hospitals.



This year, a total of 24,617 individuals have been hospitalized due to dengue, with a gender distribution of 58.7 percent men and 41.3 percent women. So far, 23,263 people have been discharged after recovery, while the death toll from dengue has reached 102.
