A nine-year-old boy died and a total of 111 dengue patients were hospitalized at various hospitals in Chattogram district in the last 24 hours.
According to the civil surgeon's office, a total of 1,887 dengue patients were hospitalized at various hospitals in Chattogram this month.
The total number of infected people in the district has reached 2,352 while the number of dead has reached 24 this year.
Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Iliyas Chowdhury stressed the need for precautionary measures to prevent the outbreak of the seasonal disease.
