A man died and another one was injured as a train hit a sand-laden truck in Chatmohar upazila here today.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Karim, 35, hailed from Faridpur upazila of the district while injured Likhon, 30, is his brother.
Local people said the accident occurred this afternoon in Provakorpara rail level crossing. They were admitted to Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex where Abdul Karim died.
Likhon was referred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Officer-in-Charge of Sirajganj GRP Thana Mahbubur Rahman said police had been sent to the spot.
