Dhaka: Members of Bangladesh Army have arrested a man with a revolver and four bullets from Balidia village under Mohammadpur upazila of the district early this morning. The arrest took place during a drive conducted by the army.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the individual arrested has been identified as Md Imrul Shikder, 40, son of the late Nowsher Ali Shikder, who is a resident of the same village. Acting on a tip-off, an army team from Magura Army Camp carried out the operation around 1:30 am, leading to the arrest of Imrul Shikder at his residence with the illicit firearm and ammunition.
The arrested individual along with the seized items has been handed over to Mohammadpur Police Station. This information was confirmed by Abdur Rahman, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the police station.
