Dhaka: One additional inspector general of police, three acting additional inspector generals, and two deputy inspectors general have been reassigned to new positions today. The home ministry released a gazette notification detailing these transfers, signed by Deputy Secretary Mahbubur Rahman.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notification specifies that Additional IGP of Police Headquarters Md Towfiq Mahbub Chowdhury has been transferred to Sarda Police Academy to serve as Principal (Addl-IGP). Additionally, Addl-IGP (Current Charge) of Industrial Police Md Sibgat Ullah has been reassigned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in the same capacity.
The notification further details that DIG of Dhaka Range AKM Awlad Hossain has been moved to Police Telecom as Addl-IGP (Current Charge), and DIG of CID Gazi Jashim Uddin has been transferred to Industrial Police as Addl-IGP (Current Charge).
Moreover, the Additional Commissioner (DIG) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has been reassigned to Dhaka Range as DIG, while DIG of Police Headquarters Dr Shoeb Riaz Alam, who was previously under transfer order to Sarda Police Academy, will now serve at the Special Security and Protection Battalion (SPBn) as DIG.
