Dhaka:Old and unfit buses in Dhaka are undergoing external repairs and receiving a fresh coat of paint to appear road-ready.
According to United News of Bangladesh, workshops along the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway, particularly in the Matuail Madrasa Bazar area, are busy repainting and renovating the exteriors of aging buses and trucks.
Despite their new look, there are ongoing concerns about road safety if critical components like engines and other essential mechanical parts are not adequately repaired or replaced. Simply refurbishing the exterior cannot prevent the risk of accidents caused by mechanically unfit vehicles.
