Dhaka: A two-day training workshop on 'Occupational Health and Safety Management' has begun at Khulna University on Friday. Initiated by the Environmental Science Discipline, the workshop is supported by the Environmental Awareness Club and AJA Bangladesh Limited. Professor Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman, Head of the Environmental Science Discipline, inaugurated the workshop.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Professor Rahman emphasized the importance of understanding workplace safety and health risk management for students. He highlighted that this training is crucial as it will enhance their practical skills, preparing them better for their future professional lives.
The training features technical sessions led by experts such as Engr. ATM Anisuzzaman, National Consultant of ILO-Better Work, Md. Kabirul Alam, Business Head and Lead Tutor of AJA Bangladesh Limited, and Audit Officer Masum Al Hasan Mehedi. These sessions are designed for students of the Environmental Science Discipline and cover topics including workplace health risks, ensuring safe working environments, and safety management systems.
