NWO Distributes Tk 74.17 Lakh Among 850 Trainees in Khulna

Khulna: National Women’s Organization (NWO) in Khulna on Monday distributed allowance cheques and certificates among trainees under its grassroots women’s entrepreneurship development project. Khulna Deputy Commissioner Md. Toufiqueur Rahman attended the programme as the chief guest and distributed cheques among the trainees.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event, marking the “Festival of Youth,” was organised by the National Women’s Organization at the Khulna District Shilpakala Academy auditorium. The programme also featured an entrepreneur fair and a traditional pitha festival. Nurul Hai Mohammad Anas, additional deputy commissioner for Education and ICT and chairman of the National Women’s Organisation, presided over the event. Nur Mohammad, district executive officer of the organisation, was present as a special guest.



As part of the initiative, cheques worth Taka 74.17 lakh were distributed among 850 trainees from seven trades, including event management, beautification, catering, fashion design, baby care, housekeeping, and business management.
