Dhaka: The National University (NU) has embarked on a significant initiative aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and enhancing the quality of education across its affiliated colleges and educational institutions. Under this comprehensive plan, the NU will conduct evaluations of these institutions through both online platforms and on-site inspections.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the affiliated colleges are required to submit detailed reports encompassing various aspects of their operational environment. This includes information on their academic settings, physical infrastructure, management systems, governing body meetings (where applicable), teacher-student data, academic and financial activities, audit reports, and adherence to university directives. The National University will store all submitted information in a central data center, facilitating regular monitoring and assessments based on these records.
To streamline the data submission process, the College Monitoring and Evaluation Office of the National University has introduced a standardized information template. Affiliated institutions can access this template by logging into the portal at http://collegeportal.nu.ac.bd using their unique college code and password, and then filling out the form available through the CMES option.
The university authorities have set a deadline for all affiliated colleges and educational institutions to submit the completed form by December 3, 2025, emphasizing the importance of compliance with this new evaluation system.
