NU Admission Test Held Across 137 Centers Nationwide

Dhaka: The first-year undergraduate (Honours) admission test for the 2024-25 academic session of the National University (NU) was held peacefully across the country today. National University Vice-Chancellor Prof. A S M Amanullah visited several examination centers in the capital in the morning.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the one-hour admission test took place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in 137 centers nationwide. A total of 5,60,595 students participated, with 274,718 from the humanities group, 117,036 from business studies, and 168,841 from the science group.



During his visit to Lalmatia Government Women’s College, the Vice-Chancellor expressed satisfaction with the reintroduction of the admission test after more than a decade. “We believe this process will ensure transparency and accountability,” he stated.



Prof. Amanullah was accompanied during the visit by prominent academics, including Dhaka University VC Prof. Niaz Ahmed Khan, Bangladesh Open University VC Prof. A B M Obaidul Islam, Maulana Bhashani Science and Technology University VC Prof. Md. Anwarul Azim Akhand, and Gazipur Agricultural University VC Prof. G K M Mostafizur Rahman.



Upon returning to the NU campus, Prof. Amanullah continued to monitor the examination proceedings online from various centers outside Dhaka.
