Dhaka: The Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has released a revised notification to recruit heads and assistant heads in private schools and colleges operating under the Monthly Pay Order (MPO) scheme. This move aims to fill 12,951 vacant positions across three directorates of the Ministry of Education using a fully automated system.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the recruitment process will be conducted through the "8th NTRCA Recruitment Examination 2026." The revised notification, issued on Wednesday, replaces a previous announcement from January 29. The vacancies are distributed among the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, the Directorate of Madrasah Education, and the Directorate of Technical Education.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has 9,708 vacancies, which include positions such as head teachers, assistant head teachers, principals, and vice-principals across various educational institutions. The Directorate of Madrasah Education has 3,131 vacant posts, including roles for principals and vice-principals in Kamil, Fazil, and Alim madrasahs, as well as supers and assistant supers in Dakhil madrasahs. The Directorate of Technical Education offers 112 vacancies for roles including principals and supers.
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply online through the NTRCA's official website. The application window is open from March 28 to April 4 until 11:59 pm. The examination fee, set at taka 350, must be paid by April 5. The recruitment examination will consist of 100 marks, divided into 80 marks for multiple-choice questions (MCQs), 12 marks for educational qualifications, and 8 marks for the viva voce. A penalty of 0.25 marks will be applied for each incorrect answer, and candidates must achieve a minimum of 40 percent in the MCQ exam to pass. The exam is tentatively scheduled for April 18.
NTRCA has specified that the recruitment recommendations will be determined through an automated system developed by TeleTalk Bangladesh Limited. Selection will be based on merit order from MCQ and viva scores, along with candidates' preferences for institutions. Applicants from the previous notification period will receive refunds, deducting online banking and TeleTalk charges. Any attempt to manipulate the recruitment process will lead to disqualification.
