Riyadh: National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) Executive Chairman Dr. Nazneen Kawshar Chowdhury recently met with Eng. Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Jarid, Chairman of the Saudi National Committee (SNC) for Workers, to discuss potential collaboration in skills and workforce development.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting focused on several key proposals from the NSDA, including the alignment of skills certification systems between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, sharing of labour market insights, building institutional capacity, promoting ethical recruitment practices, and encouraging Saudi employers to recognize NSDA-certified skills.
The Saudi National Committee expressed a strong interest in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the NSDA to enhance cooperation. This agreement aims to provide greater support for both current and prospective Bangladeshi workers in the Saudi labour market.
The proposed partnership seeks to ensure that Bangladeshi workers are globally recognized, better protected, and equipped for decent employment opportunities abroad.
