November 7 Declared General Holiday for National Revolution and Solidarity Day

Dhaka:The Cabinet has approved a proposal to declare November 7 a general public holiday annually to commemorate National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

According to United News of Bangladesh, this decision was made during a Cabinet meeting held at the Bangladesh Secretariat, chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. The day will be recognized as a 'Kha' category day, as per the Cabinet Division's guidelines on national and international observance days.

Additionally, the Cabinet approved a change to the holiday schedule for Durga Puja in 2026. The holiday will now be observed from October 20 to 22, with October 17 remaining a working day, contrary to previous announcements.
