According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a final voter list was published on August 19 for the upcoming RUCSU and related elections. The list includes 25,152 students, with 15,468 females eligible to vote in the student body election at the public university. Notably, 221 students from the Institute of Bangladesh Studies (IBS) were added to the final voters list. The draft voters list initially had 25,127 voters, indicating that 456 voters were removed from the final list. The Chief Commissioner of the RUCSU election informed BSS that the voter list would also be accessible in the respective residential halls.

After a hiatus of over three decades, students at Rajshahi University (RU) will regain their representative rights as the RUCSU election is set to occur after a 35-year gap. Preparations for conducting the election are progressing rapidly. The election is scheduled for September 15, according to the announced timeline.

On July 28, a seven-member election commission released the schedule for the RUCSU polls. The code of conduct has been published, alongside the draft and final voter lists. Nomination papers will be available from August 24 to 26, with submissions accepted on August 27 and 28. The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on August 31 and September 1, followed by the publication of the preliminary candidate list on September 2. Candidates have the option to withdraw their nominations on September 3, with the final list published on September 4.

Polling is scheduled to occur in all residential halls on September 15, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
